Over Duo for a Job
DUO for a JOB is a Belgian non-profit founded in 2012, now active in Belgium, France, and the Netherlands, that pairs young jobseekers from immigrant backgrounds with volunteer mentors over the age of 50. Over six months, each duo meets regularly under the guidance of a coordinator, combining job search support with intergenerational exchange that benefits both sides — helping young people access the labour market while valuing the experience of seniors. With over 6,000 young people supported and a 70% positive outcome rate, it tackles employment inequality, fights discrimination, and fosters social cohesion across generations and cultures.
